Kindergarten have been learning about procedures in Literacy and "Living things and their Needs" in Science. We conducted a fun experiment by following a simple procedure on how to plant a bean.
Here is the procedure we followed:
HOW TO PLANT A BEAN
Materials:
4 cotton balls
4 bean seeds
a bowl of water
1 snap lock bag
STEPS:
1. Dip the cotton balls in bowl of water.
2. Put the cotton balls in the snap lock bag.
3. Drop 4 bean seeds in the snap lock bag.
4. Close snap lock bag.
5. Stick bag on a window that gets some sunlight.
6. Watch it grow!
We looked at what beans need in order to grow. Miss Danh didn't put her cotton wool in any water, and Ms McLaren placed her bag in a dark cupboard. We decided that beans need sunlight and water in order to grow.
